Spirituality in Japan and the Monotheistic World

Lecture: Dr. Toshitada Doi has created digital audio technology, the NEWS workstation, an entertainment robot called "Aibo," and a humanoid robot called "SDR-4XII." He received the Doctor of Engineering degree from Tohoku University. Currently, he is a managing director at Sony Corporation, director of the Institute of Intelligent dynamics, and the chairman of the Institute of Computer Science of Sony Corporation.
He has also published many books under the pen name of "Shiro Tenge."
He has organized the "Maha Samadi Society," a study network for people seeking the way of bright days to the "ideal death" since 1997.

Dr. Yuzo Itagaki is Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo and Tokyo Keizai University and was elected to the Science Council of Japan. He was director of the Japan Association for Middle East Studies and the Middle East Research Institute of Japan and chairman of the Japanese Institute of Middle Eastern Economics. He received a special award from the Japan Congress of Journalists in 1991.
He has been a pioneer of Islamic studies in Japan, and his current research interests involve the Iraq War and the Japanese responses to it.
