We will hold the CISMOR Seminar “Are Catastrophes Inherited?
The Case of the Second Generation of the Holocaust”

Lecturer: Prof. Yigal Schwartz (Professor at the Department of Hebrew Literature
Founding Director of the HeksherimResearch Institute for Jewish and Israeli Literature & Culture, Ben GurionUniversity of the Negev, Israel)

The seminar will look at the effect of Holocaust trauma on the children and grandchildren of the surviving generation. It will start with the screening of the documentary film “Shadows”, and continue with Prof. Schwartz discussing it from personal and a generational perspective.
