Summary:
Focusing on religious architecture, it explains how the indigenous temple architecture of Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism, which dates back to B.C., and the architecture of Islam, which arrived from West and Central Asia, fused and blended to acquire their own styles and techniques, and describes the conflicts and influences in the period of coexistence.
2023年2月25日、公開講演会を開催しました。今回は、深見奈緒子氏(日本学術振興会カイロ研究連絡センター長)に、「インド建築文化—他宗教の融合・折衷・共存・軋轢;歴史の観点から」というタイトルでご講演いただきました。講演で深見氏は、インド亜大陸へのイスラームとキリスト教の伝来によって、土着の宗教建築にどのような影響があったのかを論じられました。講演会には52名の方々が参加され、ご講演後には活発な質疑応答が行われました。貴重なご講演をいただきました深見先生および参加者の皆さまに、心より御礼を申し上げます。
