This lecture considers sixty years of contemporary Feminist Historical Recovery, once described as "Galvanizing Marginality." We consider the evolution and epistemological implications of this scholarship which is increasingly transdisciplinary, transhistorical, transnational, and multigenre. As its practitioners advance beyond disciplinary boundaries and paradigms that compartmentalize and even resist inquiry about women, we ask, is it time to develop new knowledge-ordering systems that, for the first time, include a female dimension?
