The International Conference on Values in Religion 19-20 February 2013

The International Conference on Values in Religion Organized by The Centre of Oriental Studies, Cairo University, Egypt and The Center for Interdisciplinary Study of Monotheistic Religions (CISMOR) Doshisha University, was held in Cairo 19- 20 Feb.2013. Forty eight scholars from Egypt, Japan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and UAE participated in the conference. From Japan Prof. Katsuhiro Kohara Director of cismor presented a paper on Formations of the Modern Values in Japan through Religion and Secularity, Prof Samir Nouh Deputy director of cismor presented a paper on Relation between Religious Values and Environment in Japan, an Islamic Vision ,Prof Taro Tsukimura presented a paper on Regional Conflict and Religion, Prof Yu Takeuchi presented a paper on Values in Judaism through Secular Eyes, Prof Ahmad Yuki Shiozaki presented a paper on The Impact of Islam on the Japanese wartime Policy during the Second World War: The Interaction in Southeast Asia and Prof Akimi Iwamoto presented a paper on The Values of Buddhism in the Contemporary World.
