Rabbi Dr. Irvin Ungar visited CISMOR

Rabbi Dr. Irvin Ungar visited CISMOR on 19^th April from California. He has been for many years a Rabbi of a liberal synagogue in California, as well as an antiquarian book dealer-owner, in the name of “Historicana”, specializing in historic Judaica. He has re-introduced Arthur Szyks (1894 -1951), a Polish-Jewish artist well-known before and during Second World War, through re-publishing his illustrated Haggadah, a Jewish text that shows the order of the Passover Seder. Rabbi Ungar donated to the library of the School of Theology a copy of Szyks’s Haggadah.
