Call for papers CISMOR Young Scholars’ Workshop 2023-1

The Center for Interdisciplinary Study of Monotheistic Religions (CISMOR) will hold the second 2023Young Scholars’ Workshop on Saturday, May 20, 2023. This workshop will be held online, on the ZOOM platform.
We welcome submission of abstracts for participating in the workshop!
【Qualification requirement and conditions】
Qualification requirement:
PhD/MA Students of Doshisha University
Graduate students of other universities with recommendation of CISMOR
Research Fellow (http://www.cismor.jp/en/researchers/)
Presentations’ themes:
The themes/topics should relate to research on the Ancient Near East (ANE), Christian, Jewish or Islamic world. The specific research may regard textual, sociological, women’s study, as well as philosophical issues and more. The paper could have been previously read, or submitted for publication; it is recommended to be a research in progress.
Presentations will be for 20 minutes+10 minutes Q&A (either in Japanese or in English).
The presentation is to be commented by an assigned established scholar, as well as the other participants.
The number of presentations accommodated on that day will be up to eight.
Deadline of the Call for Papers: April 16, 2023 (Sunday).
The result will be announced to the applicants by the end of April from CISMOR Office.
